A number of Psalms express praise to God. If you’re looking for a prayer or hymn of praise in the Bible, the book of Psalms is a good place to start.
Interestingly, the final six Psalms are prayers or hymns of praise. In the last one, Psalm 150, there is a burst of praise that seems designed to lift all creation to an exalted state of praise to God.
“Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.” (Psalm 150, NIV)
Praise God with everything we have. Praise him everywhere we are. Praise him everywhere he is. Praise him for everything he has done. Praise the Lord!
