Thanksgiving–The Day After

On the day after Thanksgiving as we continue to give thanks and remember all the blessings we have, perhaps we should sing or chant a familiar hymn or Psalm taken directly from Holy Scripture. It seems to sum up the substance of the Thanksgiving season.

“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” (Psalm 100, NIV)

Open each day with Psalm 100 to receive a spirit of gratitude that will allow us to conduct our lives with thankful hearts toward God and everyone we know and meet.
